This filter is suitable for non-modified Canon APS-C cameras and Canon cameras that still
have the first filter on the sensor or any filter that blocks infrared light.

This Optolong CLS filter does not block infrared light so a suitable infrared blocking filter should be used.

The filter works by blocking the wavelengths of mercury and sodium-vapour used in urban lighting while letting the visible and the critical OIII, H-Alpha and H-Beta bands through, allowing great versatility in terms of potential objects to image.

 Note that this Filter is not for EF-S camera Lens. You need to buy a modified Canon EF-S lens or modify the lens yourself.

Light pollution reduction and contrast boosting deep sky filter for Galaxies, nebulae and clusters
95% transmission of main nebula emission lines: H-beta 486.1nm, OIII 495.9nm and 500.7nm, H-alpha 656.3nm, and SII 672nm.
0.1% transmission of major transmission lines of artificial light pollution: Hg (Mercury) at 435.8nm, 546.1nm, 577nm, and 578.1nm. Na (Sodium) at 598nm, 589.6nm, 615.4nm, and 616.1nm.
